Valentine's Day & a TPT Gift Card Giveaway!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and there's no better way to celebrate than enter a raffle to win a $50 TPT card! All you have to do is "follow" my TPT store and enter here: a Rafflecopter giveaway

One of my all-time favorite activities to do within my Spanish classroom is my "Novio ideal" activity. This lesson is always hilarious, and the kids have a blast.

For this activity, students practice the present subjunctive as they write about their ideal partner. There are various categories that students write about including the ideal profession of their partner and what he/she likes to do on a Friday night. Example sentences can include: Yo quiero que mi novio vaya al cine los viernes. Or Es importante que mi novio ideal juegue al baloncesto.

I encourage my students to write meaningful but funny sentences, and the results are always impressive. To top things off, students draw a sketch of their ideal partner.

If you want to do something related to Valentine's Day while also practicing the present subjunctive, consider purchasing this lesson to add some fun to your classroom!

Happy Teaching!
